Attention Parents: Tomorrow, August 7, 2025, is the last day to complete online student enrollment. The only option for parents to enroll their student and complete emergency forms is to complete them online in Skyward. The deadline ends at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Enrollment for new students and access to enrollment forms opened in Skyward on Monday, July 14, 2025, and will close on August 7, 2025 (before the first day of school). The only option for parents to enroll their student and complete emergency forms will be to complete them online in Skyward.

Director John English has announced the following schedule to begin the 2025-26 school year:
Teachers and all Instructional Assistants will report to their school on Monday, August 4. Principals will meet with teachers and assistants on Monday and present the in-service schedule for the week of August 4-7.
ALL employees will report to the UC High School auditorium on Thursday, August 7, at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be provided.
The first day of school for Students is Friday, August 8, with early dismissal.
UCHS and UCMS will start at 7:45 a.m. and dismiss at 11:45 a.m.
All elementary schools will start at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 12:00 noon. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
The first full day for students will be on Monday, August 11.

The Unicoi County Board of Education is accepting applications for substitute teachers. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Fingerprints and background checks are required prior to employment. Certified Substitute Teachers will earn $12.00 per hour and all Non-Certified Substitute Teachers will earn $10.66 per hour for a 7.5 hour work day. Parents/Guardians should be receiving an email soon from the Rooms feature in our new Unicoi Schools app! This login will be your key to staying connected with your child’s teachers during the upcoming school year.
When you log in, you’ll see a class titled “Technology 2025”. That is currently the only class listed. Once the school year begins and teachers start adding students to their classrooms, you’ll automatically be added to your child’s classes and can begin communicating directly with their teachers.
We’re also planning to host some Zoom training sessions for parents this fall to help you get comfortable using the app.

Important Update: Transition to the Unicoi Schools App
We’re excited to announce that Unicoi County Schools will be transitioning away from Bloomz and moving to our new Unicoi Schools app as our primary tool for mass communication.
Download links for the app are provided below. Once installed, you can choose which schools you’d like to receive news and updates from.
Looking ahead, we will also begin using the app’s Rooms feature, which will allow you to communicate directly with classroom teachers and receive messages from them.
