UCHS CTE State Competitors Recognized at Board Meeting

Unicoi County High School’s FFA Nursery/Landscape team was proudly recognized at the Unicoi County Board of Education meeting for their outstanding achievement at the recent state competition. These talented students demonstrated exceptional skill, knowledge, and dedication in a challenging and competitive event that highlights the best in Tennessee agricultural education.

Unicoi County High School's Career & Technical Education (CTE) Carpentry students recently showcased their craftsmanship, creativity, and competitive spirit at the State SkillsUSA Dragster Car Competition. These talented students designed, built, and raced custom CO2-powered dragster cars—putting their skills to the test against top competitors from across the state. The event challenged students to apply real-world principles of aerodynamics, precision measurement, woodworking, and design. From initial concept sketches to final sanding and finishing, each dragster was a product of dedication, teamwork, and innovation.

Unicoi County High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter proudly represented our school at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in April 2025, where students competed in a variety of business-focused from across the state. For all of them, it was their first time competing in something of this magnitude. Hailey Hendrix placed in the top 8 of the state competitors.
